I had the pleasure of working with a local non-profit Organization this week creating a new logo. Below is a little more info about ” There is always hope ministries”
Through the power of Jesus Christ, rescue, recover and transform hurting individuals who are bound by the addictions of drugs and alcohol.
To meet hurting individuals where they are at and supply some of their basic needs of food and shelter so that they can experience the warmth of Jesus’ love through us.
To love individuals regardless of their circumstance so that they know that they have value.
Be an example of how caring, loving Christians can lead someone victoriously through seemingly insurmountable odds into the loving arms of their Savior.
Values
There is always hope!
People no matter how tortured and bound still have value and any individual is worthy and capable of being saved both physically and spiritually through the Power of the Holy Spirit.
Drug addiction and alcoholism is the result of spiritual emptiness and the bondage that results due to trying to fill that emptiness, it doesn’t define a person. These labels define what they do and how they cope. These diseases are not labels that someone is sentenced to indefinitely.
Addicts and alcoholics really have only one way to completely get rid of their addictions and that is when they replace their addictions with something more positive that is stronger and more powerful than the pull to use drugs or alcohol. This positive force is the Power of the Holy Spirit to transform them into a new person delivered from their addictions.
Where children are involved, our #1 priority will be for their well-being.
The importance of forgiveness is an essential element in the process of recovery. The addict needs to learn the importance of forgiving him or herself, forgiving others while asking for forgiveness. When an addict truly understands that God loved him or her so much so as to forgive them, their self-esteem can be repaired.
Vision
To establish a transitional home 1 per year for the next 5 years.
To be a model throughout the nation as to how to set-up and manage a transitional home ministry.
To purchase in year five a multi-unit dwelling to be used to establish a community of former transitional housing residents and implement phase two which will be our after care program.
To change the prevailing attitude in this society that once an addict always an addict. Being true to our name that there is always hope!
