1. Add Keywords
Adding keywords to your profile is an important step so that others can find you. Take a minute to think about what others would search for to find you or your freelance business. Then use those keywords in your title, your skills and expertise, your summary and your experience.
2. Add Images
A picture is worth a thousand words. Keep your profile engaging by adding images everywhere that you can! So many do not take advantage of this step and you can use that to your advantage. Your profile could really stand out in the crowd!
3. Add Video
It’s no surprise that people love watching videos. So I recommend that you upload some from your YouTube channel to your LinkedIn profile. If you don’t have a YouTube account yet, create one and start creating videos right away! This will help you with traffic and lead generation outside of linkedin too.
4. Include projects you have worked on
Include examples of your work on your profile so potential clients can see for themselves what you do.
5. Include your contact details in your summary
Make it easy for people to get in touch with you by including your email, phone and website details in your summary.
